Advanced Dermatology

For past few years, I've been thinking about getting some treatments for excessive sweating under my arms but never had the courage to get anything done, Then I heard about RF microneedling. After having the consultation at Advanced dermatology clinic I was well informed about this treatment and finally made my mind to get it done. The staff were super kind, and helpful, they explained everything in details with no confusion about the treatment and they made sure that I feel little to no pain. I had my LaseMD treatment done with Tara at Advanced Dermatology, and she made me feel incredibly comfortable throughout the entire process. She explained everything clearly, checked in with me often, and her friendly approach really put me at ease. The clinic itself is welcoming, and has such a professional atmosphere that you feel taken care of from the moment you walk in. My skin already feels amazing, and the whole experience was really great. I would 100% recommend Tara and Advanced Dermatology to anyone considering treatment

This so-called “Dermatology” clinic does not actually have any licensed dermatologists. The consultations and treatments are carried out by people who appear to be nurses. When they convinced me to purchase a treatment package, they repeatedly promised that it would be highly effective in removing the pigmentation on my face. However, after three treatment sessions over five months, there has been absolutely no improvement at all. In fact, some areas of my pigmentation have become even darker. After my last visit, when I asked about the lack of results, they promised to follow up with me within one week regarding next steps. It has now been two weeks, and I have received no response whatsoever. I deeply regret choosing this clinic for my pigmentation treatment. It was a complete waste of both money and time.

The staff are all very lovely, however, this is not a good facility to assist with acne scarring. Unfortunately, I ended up regretting using Advanced Dermatology to help with Acne Scarring. The companies name is misleading, as there are no dermatologists on site. I had paid for my treatments not realising my laser therapy journey was in the care of a beauty technician, rather than a trained dermatologist. I was not informed at the initial consult who would be conducting the treatment. My initial experience with Shelley was better than the two follow up appointments. I put in a complaint after the second appointment, as another staff member was brought into the room and trained on how to operate the machine during my appointment. I was disappointed as if it was a training appointment I should have been told prior and I was put on the spot to consent to that. It left me feeling like I couldn’t decline. The clinician then spent about 15 minutes in total to do the treatment, after I had spent about 30-45 minutes in total with my initial appointment with Shelley. I informed them the next day that it had done very little for my skin. When I queried the result, I was then told by Shelley they had found a setting on the machine to speed up the process. I felt unheard as I shared the second appointment felt like it did nothing (which I am still certain it did not). At the follow up consultation, the lighting was all changed. The initial room had standard LED’s found in shopping centres, while the follow up room was streaming with natural sunlight and I was placed in front of a ring light. I immediately brought this up with the technician, as it is misleading. If you are having an appointment like this, please ensure the lighting is the same for the before and after to see the true effect of the treatment. Mine was very minimal. When I shared I was unhappy, the staff member was very apologetic. I will be seeing a proper dermatologist who specialises in acne treatment to have the proper cO2 procedure done for nearly the same price & would recommend others do the same. I am writing this review a number of months after my procedures to see if there were effects that happened later due to collagen production, but unfortunately that hasn’t been the case.
