I had Botox done at Dr. Umed on the Sunshine Coast, and unfortunately my experience was disappointing. After the treatment, I developed eyelid ptosis (drooping of the eyelid), which was quite noticeable and distressing (my eyes are still uneven). When I raised this concern, the only response I received was that I had signed a waiver and that this is a possible side effect. I want to be fair in sharing this experience. I have previously had a procedure with Dr. Umed Clinic in Brisbane, with a different practitioner, and that experience was very positive. The practitioner was caring and attentive, I was very happy with the results, and I had no complications at all. This made it clear to me that while risks exist, the practitioner, technique, and aftercare make a significant difference. While I understand that complications can happen, I expected more support, reassurance, or follow-up once the issue occurred. The lack of guidance or clinical responsibility made me feel dismissed rather than cared for. I’m sharing this so others can make an informed decision and be aware of both the potential risks and the level of aftercare provided. I would encourage anyone considering treatment here to ask detailed questions about complications and post-procedure support beforehand.

First appointment was great, second appointment left me with uneven brows and smile after botox. I sent photos to the injector woman who kept insisting i was using a filter (the sun?) And asking for more photos. The replies started to get rude after I mentioned I wasn't happy about the unevenness of the result. There was a policy (something along the lines of) if mentioned you weren't happy with the results on the basis they were wrong on the injectors behalf then they would fix it. I didn't drive at the time and twice called the office to try and book in to fix my lopsided face. They didn't answer and I got text messages saying to be there in 45 mins. It takes over an hour on public transport so I wouldn't be able to make it. At one point I was asked to try to book another appointment, so again messaging rather than calling and got told off for messaging on a Sunday because it was inappropriate. When I asked if the fixing of the botox was free or if I had to pay, no reply. At no point in time did anyone try to contact me about a time that worked for us both or ask me for any details. At no point in time was I given a time frame for contact to avoid "inappropriate" messages. I went to a better injector who fixed it. I would never go back to this clinic. Edit: owner replied but deleted it? Just because the experience happened years ago doesn't mean I don't think about how rude the Injector was every time I get a suggested add for this clinic.

I can’t speak highly enough of Dr Umed and his team. Dr Umed is very professional and I feel very comfortable and confident I’m getting the best results. He has helped me to get my confidence back, I’m definitely feeling my best for my upcoming Wedding. I would highly recommend Dr Umed. 🙌

I had a conflicting second experience at Dr. Umed Cosmetics. While my first appointment left me impressed and eager to make it my go-to practice, and encouraging my partner to go there, the second visit wasn't this good. Despite clear communication about wanting only minimal Botox/antiwrinkle for the frown area—something I've successfully done in 3 different places with just 14 /25 units of botox or the equivalent in other brands—the practitioner insisted on pushing a package and injecting my entire forehead. I was clear again, however he chose to dismiss my petition, and injecting my whole forehead. I had to stop him and ask please to focus only in the frown. Despite my repeated explanations, the practitioner disregarded my preferences, and didn't listened, trying to oversell a package I didn't need. Before this he was trying to convince me to get injections in the crow feet area, and i didn't even brought this up, as i ONLY EANTED THE FROWN AREA! This disregard for my wishes unfortunately mean I won't be returning,as I didn't feel heard and the need for overselling was bigger
