In a time where people are often quick to share negative experiences, I want to acknowledge and express my heartfelt gratitude to Dr Czechowicz. At 28 years old, after nearly 15 years of struggling with acne, I’ve seen several dermatologists. Sadly, many seem detached—rushing through appointments, offering little empathy, and treating acne as something trivial. For patients like me, who may wait over six months just to be seen, that generally rushed five-minute appointment can feel disheartening. Yes, there are worse things in life, but that doesn’t make the emotional toll of acne any less real or painful. That’s why meeting Dr Czechowicz has been so different. Though I’ve only seen him twice, his kindness, positivity, and genuine care stand out. He takes his time, listens, and shows true compassion. Each time he reassures me—and even crosses his fingers with such genuine hope that things will work out—it touches me more than he realises. In those moments, he heals a part of me that years of frustration had worn down. He is worth every wait and every penny. Dr Czechowicz, you are a blessing, and I hope you know the difference you make in people’s lives.

I recently took my son to see Dr Wayte and he was brilliant. We didnt wait long at all to see him. He was so kind and gentle with my son who was a bit nervous to see him. Dr Wayte also explained everything to myself well and was happy to discuss options for treatment and answer my questions when i was unsure.

I had a very disappointing experience with Dermatology SA. After months of delays just to get an appointment, my referral being lost, and finally waiting until August for my booking, they ended up cancelling it at the last minute. Yesterday while I was at work in a meeting, I received missed calls and a text saying my appointment with Dr Cho would be cancelled if I didn’t confirm by 12pm. I called back straight away at 10:01am — well before the deadline — only to be told my appointment had already been cancelled. When I questioned this, the receptionist simply said the doctor is “sensitive” to patients not answering calls. She then said she could put me at 3pm the same day, I was shocked to know my appointment was canceled but agreed for the rebooking since it would be the same day. She put me on hold, a supervisor came back on later and told me that the 3pm spot was gone and I’d have to rebook for another day instead. When I explained how unfair that was, she was very rude and blamed me for not answering, I explained that I was in a work meeting and their message indicated I had until 12 pm to confirm but she was dismissive and told me I can either rebook or go somewhere else. After waiting months, being treated this way, and having my appointment taken from me unfairly, I decided I won’t go back and will find care elsewhere.
