I am aware that this practice has some highly regarded dermatologists, however my own experience was disappointing and, in my view, not handled well by the practice. I consulted a recently appointed male dermatologist regarding a skin condition that had previously resulted in a significant facial scar. Although the issue had resolved by the time of my appointment, I was seeking advice on prevention and management of potential future recurrences. I explained that I had attempted to obtain an appointment when the issue was active, and I provided photographs and a timeline showing its progression. During the consultation, the dermatologist advised that because he had not personally seen the condition when it was active, he was unable to offer advice. He indicated that a recurrence was unlikely and suggested that I was just highly anxious and focusing too much on the past. The appointment concluded without any discussion of preventative strategies or management options. Following this, I provided respectful feedback to the practice about my experience and requested to see a different doctor at the clinic for a second opinion. I was subsequently informed that I would not be able to see any other practitioners at the practice. Approximately three weeks later, I was diagnosed with a recurrence of the same condition on my face. This outcome was particularly frustrating, as advice on management and monitoring would have been helpful at the time of my original appointment. I would not recommend Malvern Dermatology. Overall, I found both the consultation and the practice’s response to feedback disappointing.

I've been waiting 2 years to get into another Dermatologist so my doctor recommended referring me here, as 'they are new and I could get in faster' She sends the referral and while still with the doctor, I start getting calls from them, rings 3 times in quick succession...that was a little weird. I call them back once out and get told the wait time is over 6 months? I tell receptionist I've had a really bad previous experience with a Dermatologist and the reviews are correct, she has no empathy or patience. I get quoted for $296 for a 15min appt. This dermatologist is earning $1184 per hour? Like what? How am I meant to be correctly diagnosed in 15mins? I cancelled the appt will look elsewhere.

Only go here if you’re a millionaire, charged $500 for initial consult and investigation then a follow up appointment to tell me nothing was wrong was a further $250. Medicare rebates are minimal, completely insane pricing

Dr Fiona Metz, the Dermatology Goddess, is simply amazing- kind, caring, helpful and so very knowledgeable and I am so VERY grateful to have been seen by her for my problem! I had virtually given up hope until i saw her so I am so appreciative of her ongoing efforts on my behalf. Her nurses (Virginia and Jamie) and Reception Staff are just lovely so I feel so incredibly lucky. Thanq MUCHLY! 💖
