I would not recommend this dermatology practice. I came in hoping to explore more affordable options for treating a skin condition but left extremely disappointed. During my first consultation, I was seen by three different doctors and was requested to provide the three previous lab results related to the case. They obtained the first one immediately. I personally arranged and sent the second (a minor procedure done by my GP), and they assured me they could retrieve the third themselves, but never did. When I followed up, I was informed that I needed to sign a consent form and might be charged for the transfer. I’ve never encountered a fee for transferring a single lab result, especially one the doctor initially said they could obtain. I eventually contacted the doctor who performed the final biopsy and sent the report myself. After all this waiting and back-and-forth, the doctor finally called me, only to say that the treatment I had clearly mentioned at the first consultation is not something they could do, and only referring to one lab test result. When I asked about the test result from my GP’s procedure, the doctor said it would require a major operation they don’t perform. Instead, I was offered a referral to a plastic surgeon and warned about extensive surgery and potential scarring, information that should have been disclosed at the very beginning. On top of that, I was asked if the photos taken during my visit could be used for educational purposes, which I declined. Despite this, the doctor later asked to be informed of the outcome of my next step, an unusual and unprofessional request given the circumstances. The entire experience felt disorganised, inefficient, and frustrating. If the clinic had been transparent upfront, I could have saved considerable time and energy.
My appointment was on time, the two dermatologists that saw me were excellent. Professional and friendly!
QIDerm says "Quality patient care is our highest priority”, but my first experience was anything but. Doctor was 45-mins late and spent about five minutes with me where there was no warmth or care. Purely clinical. Had to chase results of a test three months later despite being told it would take roughly six weeks.
I would not recommend this place to anyone!! I have a serious allergy on my eye, and I saw the dermatologist at this place. I showed him photos of my eye since I first developed the allergy and the medications my GP prescribed. He looked at my eye for about 1 minute and said, 'Keep doing what you're doing,' because the allergy medicine was helping with the situation. I told him I had been taking the medication for over 2 months, and when I stopped, the allergy would come back completely. I asked him to recommend a skin allergy test, but he refused. Now my allergy is twice as bad, and it has started affecting the area around my nose and mouth, and I still don't know what it is. And I had to pay almost $300 for this terrible service.
My whole family had been suffering from a rash that was incredibly painful and uncomfortable. We were first seen by Dr Cox who was rather unprofessional, slurping a cup of tea while we were in our consultation. She repeatedly interrupted me while I was explaining our situation and when she asked for any history of illnesses in the family for my boys, my husband mentioned he had MS, to which she rudely commented “You are not a patient.” He may not have been a patient, but his health issues were relevant to my boys. We were then seen by Dr Abdulla who was equally as dismissive and rude. We were told we were all suffering from text book Eczema and given a prescription for 40 odd tubes of Advantan to use. When I questioned why the whole family had it at the same time in the same place it was labelled a coincidence. As it turns out, after visiting the Skin Centre in Pindara Suites, we all had a virus causing the rash that needed to be treated with aggressive antibiotics and all the steroid creams we were told to use made the rash worse. I will never return to this clinic. They have no desire to investigate your issue and when you ask them questions, you are scoffed at and treated like an imbecile. The people on reception are beautiful and that’s where it ends.
