The Skin Centre - Dr Michael Freeman

A really good experience! I saw Dr Michael Freeman who was informative, professional and knowledgeable. His manner immediately made me feel relaxed and assured. They managed to fit me in there and then for laser treatment for a problematic surface vein and venous lake on my lip. All of the staff were friendly and efficient. I can't speak highly enough of the team here at The Skin Centre and the treatment and care I received.

I'm quite disappointed with my recent experience at this center. Years ago, my visit went smoothly, but this time was a different story. When you call, they'll inform you of a minimum six-month wait, but I wouldn't rely on them to manage your booking after all that time. The most senior receptionist proved to be the least competent and handled the situation with arrogance and poor manners when it was brought to her attention. I informed the reception that I would prefer to make an alteration to the day and time for my appointment, and they assured me it wasn't an issue due to a cancellation slot. However, they rescheduled me for a time I couldn't accommodate without consulting me first, in conjunction with canceling my original appointment. Instead of confirming the new date and time before canceling my original appointment, they failed to do so and didn’t rectify their mistake. As a result, I was left waiting for another six months due to the receptionist's mismanagement, as I couldn't make the newly enforced time for the new appointment. If I had known she would choose an inconvenient time for me, I would have kept the original appointment and I would have seen the doctor. I pointed out that most people work a 9-to-5 schedule and need to plan accordingly, but she made it clear that the doctors come first and patients should work around their availability. This approach is ridiculous, arrogant, and unacceptable, and it provides no excuse for failing to communicate with me or any patient to confirm a new agreed appointment before canceling the original, then placing me, at the back of the line despite the urgent nature of the appointment and. They demonstrated no care or concern to rectify their failure to manage an important appointment. I would strongly advise considering other excellent options on the Gold Coast instead, as this is not one of them.

Dr Andrew was very rough with my rash.. however he was very forthcoming with wanting to book another appointment.. I think he was just after my money.. weird experience. After quick shower my rash healed up nicely

The team always take time to ensure you understand the treatments. They are really organised, making appointment and treatments easier.
