I had a great experience with Mia. Even though I arrived late, she was very professional and still did an amazing job. She took her time to explain everything to me and made sure I felt comfortable. The results were beautiful, and I’m very happy. Highly recommend her!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but after multiple attempts to resolve this privately, I feel compelled to share my experience. This was not an isolated incident with this particular nurse injector. I have avoided scheduling with her in the past because it has consistently felt clear to me that her priority is increasing commissions rather than providing patient-centered care. I scheduled an appointment specifically for the advertised $399 Restylane under-eye promotion. Instead of a clinical consultation or discussion, my request was dismissed and I was steered toward approximately $1,500 in cheek filler. I left that appointment without treatment. Hoping this experience was limited to one location, I then drove over an hour (plus paid parking) to your downtown office. There, I was informed that the $399 promotion would actually cost $550 because under-eye injections allegedly require “additional skill.” The promotion itself contained no exclusions, no disclaimers, and no pricing distinctions based on treatment area. Because I had already traveled a significant distance, I reluctantly paid the $550. I left feeling misled and manipulated rather than cared for. I sent a detailed email directly to ownership requesting a refund of the $150 difference and providing constructive feedback instead of posting publicly. No one responded. I then had to initiate contact through your chat line and was assured my complaint would be escalated and that the person responsible for handling customer concerns would contact me by 5pm yesterday. No one called. No one emailed. No follow-up occurred. This is no longer just about $150. It is about transparency in advertising, ethical medical practice, and accountability. Given the pattern of upselling, the lack of promotional clarity, and the complete failure to follow through on an escalated complaint, I will be filing a formal complaint with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR). Patients deserve clear pricing, honest consultations, and medical professionals who prioritize care over commission. Unfortunately, my trust in this brand has been significantly impacted.

I would give 5 Stars but the last time I went in my experience was horrendous! If it had been my first time, I would’ve never come back. Fortunately, my previous experiences have been great. Tricia has done my IPL facials and she has such a gentle approach. She listens to her clients concerns and genuinely cares. She always takes her time and follows through on my concerns, questions and more. She went beyond the call of duty as well when I told her about my horrible experience with another technician. Mary Ann is also wonderful. She is welcome and kind. Mia has done my injections and also does a great job. My only advice would be to avoid a technician named Sandra. Due to time constraints I scheduled with Sandra over Tricia, big mistake. She was frazzled because there was no front desk person there that day. First I went there for dysport. I overheard them saying they were out. So I explained why I was there and asked if they had enough. She ensured me they did. They DID NOT. On top of waiting over 30 mins for my appt past appt time, she told me she was a trainer, was the owners/doctors right hand woman, goes to all the locations, etc. So when she said she was going to use different settings then the ones I usually use with Tricia, I took her word for it. Big mistake. She was far more concerned with everything else and helping to man the front than anything I explained to her. She could’ve cared less about me as a client and instead just bragged about her abilities. She went very fast, and my results were TERRIBLE! I didn’t notice anything different and there was no change. I called the answering service and was told someone would call me back but they did not. It was a huge waste of time and a truly horrible experience. If you want to come to the Oakbrook location. Expect warmth from Mary Ann. Book any facial related services with TRICIA. And MIA is wonderful for injections.

I recently visited Pure Med Spa in Oak Brook for the first time, and my experience was extremely disappointing. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was unwelcoming — I wasn’t greeted, and no one asked me to fill out paperwork as a new client, which was surprising and unprofessional. My injector, Nicole, did not introduce herself — I had to ask her name. She wasn’t wearing gloves, did not wash her hands, and immediately began the treatment. When I asked if she was a Nurse Practitioner, she said she was a nurse. Any time I asked for basic patient education, she gave me snarky, dismissive responses and even stared at me in silence after each question, making the whole experience uncomfortable. Nicole injected 100 units of Dysport into my forehead only. From my past experiences, that dosage usually covers multiple areas, but she refused to inject anywhere else — even after I explained that my usual treatment areas include my crow’s feet, DAOs, neck, jawline, and masseter muscles. Instead, she told me I needed filler more than Botox, even though I clearly came in for Botox, not filler. She didn’t show me how much product was being used, and the entire process felt rushed and careless. Now, my forehead feels super heavy and uncomfortable, and one side of my face is drooping more than the other — she completely botched me. I have a wedding in Mexico in two weeks, and now I have to spend more money and go somewhere else to fix the damage she caused. I paid so much money only to be left feeling ruined, anxious, and extremely dissatisfied. Nicole claimed she’s “been doing this a long time,” but her lack of professionalism, poor bedside manner, and disregard for patient comfort told me otherwise. I do not recommend Pure Med Spa in Oak Brook, especially if you are a first-time client expecting professionalism, safety, and proper patient education.

Had such a great diamond glow facial with Tricia, she really took the time out to address my concerns, explained the procedure step by step, also gave me a massage while the mask was drying! She was so knowledgeable, very gentle with her hands. My skin feels amazing, will be coming back again!
