Both the nurses, and the nurse practitioner, were professional, and made the appointment fun. They gave good and simple instructions and emphasize things I really need to look out for. In addition, they worked with me for a follow ups, due to my long traveling to the place. I highly recommend this dermatologist to anyone who has not found a good fit yet

Twin Ports Dermatology has provided me and my daughter amazing results with our skin care for over a decade and my most recent experience was also absolutely stunning!! TPD is the gold standard for care and results. Carissa is amazing and described every step of the procedure and the recovery to prepare me so I could allow the time needed. No sugar coating. I could go on and on positively about TPD and Carissa and Maria and the entire staff, but what is most important is they have given me results and it feels beautiful!!
I came in early and they were ready for me. Receptionist was awesome 👌 nurse that brought me back to the room was very knowledgeable. The Dr was very professional and absolutely knowledgeable. I couldn't give them more thumbs up. Very very nice people!!
I visited this clinic a few months ago hoping to find help for my ongoing hair loss concerns. Living in Duluth, dermatology options are limited, so based on the reviews I was optimistic this would be a good fit. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The only person who felt genuinely kind and attentive was the nurse who took me back to the room. I explained that I’ve been dealing with hair loss for over 10 years and wanted to understand whether it was stress-related or caused by something else. The dermatologist briefly looked at my scalp but did not use a dermatoscope or perform a thorough examination. She quickly diagnosed me with androgenic alopecia. When I asked how she reached that conclusion, she seemed caught off guard and responded vaguely, citing hair patterns and possible stress. There were no follow-up questions about my medical history, no discussion of prior bloodwork, and no recommendation for additional testing. I felt dismissed rather than heard. I was offered Viviscal supplements and told to return in three months. At the time, my hair appeared relatively full, but I was experiencing significant shedding and knew something wasn’t right. Because of this, I sought a second opinion in the Twin Cities. That dermatologist took my concerns seriously, performed a biopsy, and diagnosed me with early-stage lichen planopilaris. Receiving that diagnosis was devastating, and I can’t help but feel that if my concerns had been taken more seriously during my initial visit, I could have started treatment sooner and avoided traveling long distances for care. Overall, I left feeling disappointed and unheard, and I hope this feedback encourages more thorough evaluations and patient-centered care in the future.
