A wonderful visit. I had a specific need and had to go sit with a dying friend. The waiting room was very crowded, and I needed to leave as soon as possible. The staff at the desk were very compassionate and understanding. They prioritized and expedited my appointment, and I was very grateful. Dr. Englert is very friendly, kind and a good resource for health questions. Kudos to the staff at Advanced Dermatology!
I had an area on my shoulder I was concerned about, history of other skin cancers. I called the office & they were able to get me in today with Todd (James McCloskey), who I normally see. He is so professional & personable, always makes me feel my concerns are important. I was very grateful the office got me in quickly & that even though this time I was lucky & it was not a cancer, Todd assured me I did the right thing coming in & to continue to feel I can call when I have a concern, he did not make me feel I was wasting his time. Staff is always friendly & helpful as well.
I was very pleased with our visit today. Amy Slusher listened to my daughter's concerns and recommended a treatment plan that seems to be a much better option that what we've been doing. My only suggestion would be to make the entrance handicap accessible. The door is not automatic, no push button to open. I had to wait for another patient to see me struggling to get my daughter's wheelchair inside, and then he came to hold the door for us. Also, the threshold at the front door is too high so I had to pull my daughter's wheelchair in backwards, which only complicated the process of entering without an automatic handicap door.
The physicians and assistants are great! Unfortunately, they never have any available appointments within the follow up time frame the Dr gives. When you do get an appointment, they call to change it multiple times. The young ladies that assist with checking you out are not very friendly or helpful. After my daughter's current skin issue is taken care of, we will be finding her a new dermatologist.
