“It was a good experience. Romeo did a good job in deep tissue massage. Had a bit of pain at the beginning and after telling to reduce the intensity he took it slowly. Overall it was a nice experience and would come again”

I recently visited Blush Med Spa (formerly Hinsdale Aesthetic Center) and had a very disappointing experience with the floor manager, Aga. One concern I noticed before my appointment was the lack of information on the business's website regarding the medical professionals overseeing treatments. I was unable to find the names or credentials of any licensed physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, or other medical staff. For a medical spa, this lack of transparency raised questions for me. I would have preferred to email constructive feedback to the leadership team, but their contact information is not available. I was told the leading doctor is currently Dr. Wakas (Wakis? Waqas? Waqqas?), but I can find no information with a contact like this. Previous reviews (under both company names) and lack of licensed contact details are both major reasons that I would not pursue additional services here, in addition to the experience below. The primary reason for this review was my interaction upon arrival at my latest visit. I entered with my school-age children, who were with me during their summer break. As we came through the entrance, my youngest child was briefly upset about an umbrella but was already calming down. Before we even reached the reception area, Aga approached us in the foyer and asked alarmingly whether we were customers. She then told me it was inappropriate to bring children to a spa and proclaimed that she would leave her own children with a babysitter. I found these remarks unnecessary, judgmental, and unprofessional. The conversation occurred in front of my children, front desk staff, and another customer entering the business. Rather than feeling welcomed as a paying client, I felt disrespected and criticized. To be fair, my children later told me that Aga came out and kindly offered them beverages while I was receiving treatment. They declined, but they felt she was pleasant toward them afterward. I appreciated hearing that. Unfortunately, she never spoke to me again or acknowledged that her earlier comments had been inappropriate. I would also like to note that I have had positive experiences with the laser hair removal technicians, and I have no complaints about the quality of the services I have received from them. My concern is specifically with the customer service and professionalism demonstrated by management during this visit. Because of this experience and the confusion on who is running this business, I do not plan to pursue additional services with them. Parents occasionally need to bring children to appointments, and I hope management will consider treating those situations with more understanding, professionalism, and respect.

I purchased a Groupon for my husband, and Romeo is an amazing massage therapist. His technique is excellent, and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his massage. He was professional, skilled, and made the experience incredibly relaxing. If this review were based on the massage alone, it would easily be five stars. Unfortunately, the customer service and office management were a completely different story. After I purchased the Groupon, my husband called to schedule his appointment and was given a Sunday time slot. That would have been perfectly fine—except when he arrived, he discovered the business is closed on Sundays. No one had bothered to notify him. After numerous attempts to reach someone by phone, they finally responded and rescheduled his appointment for a Saturday. When he came in for that appointment, he received a 60-minute massage even though the Groupon was clearly for a 90-minute massage. He then scheduled another appointment to make up the missing 30 minutes. Given the repeated scheduling issues, my husband called the morning of his follow-up appointment simply to confirm that he was still on the schedule since he had never received a confirmation. Instead of answering a perfectly reasonable question, the office manager responded, "We don't babysit our clients." That comment was unbelievably rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. He wasn't asking anyone to "babysit" him—he was trying to avoid another wasted trip after the office had already scheduled him on a day they were closed and failed to provide the full massage that had been purchased. A simple confirmation would have taken seconds. Instead, he was met with sarcasm and disrespect. Everyone makes mistakes, and I can overlook scheduling errors when they're handled professionally. What I cannot overlook is an office manager speaking to a paying customer with such contempt after multiple mistakes that were entirely the business's responsibility. Customer service matters just as much as the service itself, and that interaction completely overshadowed what should have been a wonderful experience. The poor communication, repeated scheduling mistakes, and shockingly unprofessional behavior from the office manager left a lasting negative impression. Until the way clients are treated improves, I would never return or recommend this business.

I purchased a Groupon, and Romeo is an amazing massage therapist. His. He was professional, skilled, and made the experience very relaxing. The only downside was that he talked quite a bit during the massage. While he was friendly, i was hoping for a quieter session so i could fully relax. Aside from that, it was a great experience, and we would definitely recommend Romeo.

I previously received an IPL treatment at this office and the treatment itself was fine. During that visit, I scheduled my next appointment for 4:30 PM on a later date. On the day of my appointment, while driving there, I unfortunately got a flat tire. At 4:02 PM, I called the front desk to notify them of the situation and explained that I would call back later to reschedule because I was dealing with a tow truck and car trouble. Later that evening around 7 PM, I received a text saying that I had missed my appointment. I called again to reiterate that I didn't make it due to the flat tire and that I wanted to reschedule, but I reached voicemail and left a message. The following day, I received a text stating that I would be charged a $50 no-show fee because I did not give 24-hour notice. While I understand the purpose of cancellation policies, they should also allow for reasonable exceptions in situations that are clearly beyond a patient’s control. What was most frustrating was that the office claimed there was no record of my 4:02 PM phone call, despite the fact that I provided screenshots of my call logs, photos of the flat tire, and a receipt from the tire repair shop as proof of what happened. None of this seemed to matter. As a physician myself, I understand the importance of respecting a practice’s time and policies. However, I would never treat a patient this way in the face of clear, documented extenuating circumstances. This situation felt less like a misunderstanding and more like a rigid policy being enforced without any consideration for the circumstances. Experiences like this make it difficult to support a business that appears unwilling to extend basic understanding to its clients. I hoped that they would choose to make this right, but they chose to lose business instead.
