Doctor was good, billing is what I had an issue with, I have a MultiPlan insurance plan and have previously seen another dermatologist for the same type of treatment. At that office, each visit was billed with the appropriate office/consultation visit along with the wart-freezing procedure, and my cost was consistently $100 copay. When I switched to this office, my first visit was handled similarly and cost $100. However, on my next visit, the billing was submitted differently, without the same visit code, and my cost ended up being approximately $200 for essentially the same type of appointment and treatment. I understand that insurance billing can be complicated, but a 100% increase in my out-of-pocket cost based on how the visit was coded is extremely frustrating. Patients should be able to understand what they are going to be charged and why. I would strongly encourage this office to be more transparent and consistent with its billing and coding practices.

— Extremely Disappointing Experience – Excessive Wait Time and Poor Patient Communication My appointment was scheduled for 11:15 AM, and I arrived at approximately 11:00 AM, 15 minutes early. Despite arriving on time, I was not called back until approximately 12:05 PM, nearly an hour after my scheduled appointment time. During that time, I received no meaningful update regarding the delay. At approximately 11:55 AM, after waiting for nearly an hour, I approached the front desk myself to ask when I would be seen. I was told that the office was “a little behind” and that I would need to wait another 25–30 minutes or cancel my appointment. I want to be clear: being told to wait another 25–30 minutes after already waiting nearly an hour is not what I would consider being “a little behind.” This was a significant delay, and I believe patients should be proactively informed when an appointment is running this far behind schedule. At approximately 12:05 PM, my name was finally called and I was taken to an examination room. I then waited an additional 15 minutes in the patient room before the doctor came in. In total, I waited approximately one hour and 15 minutes past my scheduled appointment time before I was actually seen. What made the situation even more concerning was that I was clearly not the only patient experiencing this issue. After I spoke with the front desk, another patient who had apparently been waiting even longer approached the front desk to ask about the status of his appointment. He was there with his elderly mother, who appeared to be approximately 80–85 years old. After being informed about the additional wait, he decided to cancel the appointment and leave rather than continue waiting. As he was leaving, he told me, “Good luck, man. They don’t know what they’re doing.” While that was his personal opinion, I found it significant because it reflected the frustration I was also experiencing at the time. From what I observed, it appeared that multiple patients were being scheduled and placed into examination rooms while only one doctor was seeing patients. Patients were waiting both in the main waiting area and then again inside the examination rooms. This created a significant backlog and, in my opinion, an appointment scheduling system that was not adequately respecting patients’ time. I completely understand that medical offices can occasionally experience unexpected delays. However, when patients are routinely waiting this long, there should be better communication and a more appropriate approach to managing the schedule. The most disappointing part of my experience was that when I asked about the excessive wait, I was essentially given two choices: wait even longer or cancel my appointment. I did eventually see the doctor, but I felt that my time and concerns as a patient were not being treated with the level of respect I would expect from a medical practice. I cannot comment negatively on the doctor’s medical care itself based on this visit, because my primary concern with this experience was the appointment management, excessive waiting time, and lack of communication. I am sharing this review so that other patients can make an informed decision before scheduling an appointment here. If you have a busy schedule, are bringing an elderly family member, or simply expect your scheduled appointment time to be reasonably respected, I recommend asking about the office’s typical wait times and appointment scheduling practices before choosing this practice. My experience was not a short or unexpected delay. I arrived early for an 11:15 AM appointment, was called at approximately 12:05 PM, and then waited another 15 minutes in the examination room before seeing the doctor. I hope the practice takes this feedback seriously and makes meaningful improvements to its scheduling and patient communication.
