Jenny Brophy, PA was amazing for my 1st skin check ever. She is funny, and has a wonderful personality but also very informative about the whole process. The whole visit was thorough but quick enough and medications are sent directly to their pharmacy which took minutes to fill. I also go here for my laser tattoo removal and each time the process is so smooth.
My experience with this company was extremely disappointing, and I won't be returning. After my visit, the patient portal only displayed a balance due. There was no itemized invoice or explanation of the charges. I contacted the office requesting an itemized bill so I could understand what I was being charged for, but I never received one. To make matters worse, there were no payment plan options offered. Instead, I was expected to pay the balance in full while being warned that interest would begin accruing after 30 days. The medical care aside, the billing experience left me feeling frustrated and without transparency. In my opinion, patients deserve clear invoices, straightforward communication, and reasonable payment options.
Please, don't go to this clinic if you have a skin problem. They are very inflexible and unfair. They have made me wait 15 minutes in the waiting room, and I have said nothing. But on 6/23/26, I had an issue out of my will or decision, and I arrived 15 minutes late. No matter how much I begged them, they refused to give me the service and they canceled the appointment. Now I received a charge of $50 for not showing up, which is not true: I showed up, it was they who denied the service. The nerve! If they have a policy, I can have a policy too: I canceled the reschedule appointment, and found a different dermatologist service who is more fair and flexible. A really unpleasant situation, and a very poor way to lose a patient. Yours sincerely, Luis De La Rosa-Sabina.
I am very pleased with the care I receive at Derick Dermatology. I especially enjoy how prompt they are with appointments. If I arrive on time or a bit early, they are ready to welcome me. The treatments I need are done painlessly. They provide extra bandages when needed. Overall I feel I am getting the best treatment possible.
