Until yesterday I would have recommended them but after the hurtful, humiliating experience yesterday I will not. I was callously, abruptly dropped from the practice because I’m now 65 and on Medicare. This was done by phone 2 days before my appointment with Dr. Dohr. There was no advance notification. I was upright and up front with them last year. I told them I would be turning 65 and would be on Medicare for this appointment. I was assured it would not be a problem. Even more hurtful, I couldn’t even speak with my doctor. Twenty years of loyalty tossed aside. The practice can try to justify their actions all they want but it doesn’t alter the humiliating, hurtful truth

My PCOS diagnosis was missed by an NP at the practice but diagnosed by doctor Dohr 2 years later. However, I was given no information on how to manage it, as I had a "mild case" (I.e., no weight issues). Doctor Dohr bluntly stated that I "probably have PCOS," stood up, and started to leave before quickly asking, "do you have any questions?" with her hand still on the doorknob. I left most appointments with more questions than I came in with. I asked 10 months later if diet was important in managing symptoms and was told "it's one of the most important factors." It would have been nice to know that at the time of diagnosis. I spoke on the phone with Dr. Dohr to review test results. Phone call was 2 minutes but billed as 25. Many appointments were also billed for longer amounts of time than I was there. I don't think a single appointment ever lasted longer than 5-10 minutes, and I was always waiting a long time in the waiting room to be seen. One visit was delayed by about 30 minutes. I was told my diagnostic ultrasound results would take 48 hours. Instead they took a week and a half and I had to call to ask for the results. Took days one time to recieve lab results. Their explanation was that they thought they gave me my lab results, but they gave another woman her results who had a similar name. Had a nurse with no bedside manner the first time I had labs done who asked if I was nervous. I told her "yes" and she said "well don't be." Then said nothing the rest of the visit and left me sitting in the room unsure if I could leave. Birth control was heavily pushed, even before a diagnosis, and I got the impression that future fertility was a bigger priority than managing current symptoms. Symptoms of endometriosis were also dismissed without further investigation. My insurance changed and I found a new doctor who spent 45 minutes answering questions, explaining my diagnosis, and creating a plan to manage symptoms. I would never recommend this practice to anyone- especially after seeing how much better care can be elsewhere.

I came to this practice after an initial not-so-pleasant experience elsewhere with my first pregnancy. My second pregnancy was a totally different experience in the BEST way thanks to the doctors here. I felt supported, heard, and respected. Every single staff member I interacted with was nothing less than lovely. I was able to ask as many questions as I could think of and they were very responsive. I was even able to buy Nutrafol at a discount to help me with post-partum hair loss during one of their promotions which is a nice touch. I trust this office completely and would recommend them without hesitation.

After dealing with the same health issues for nearly 20 years, I finally feel like I found an office that truly listens and cares. I recently switched to Dr. Dohr’s office after feeling like my previous providers were no longer hearing me or taking my concerns seriously. Since I was around 12 years old, I’ve struggled with chronic UTIs, bladder issues, ovarian cysts, and ongoing symptoms that have only worsened over time. For years, I was passed from specialist to specialist, prescribed medications, sent for testing, and told to try physical therapy, yet never given real answers or long-term solutions. At one point, I even saw a pelvic floor physical therapist who told me she believed therapy would likely just be something to satisfy insurance requirements before eventually needing surgery. Years later, after continuing to advocate for myself and repeatedly expressing that I needed more help, I decided to start fresh with this office, and I’m so thankful I did. I’ve only been there three times, but every single visit has made me feel seen, heard, and genuinely cared for. From the moment you walk in and are greeted by Colleen, you feel welcomed and comfortable. Receptionists truly set the tone for an office experience, and she is absolutely wonderful at what she does. My first two visits were with Dr. Fitzpatrick, and she is amazing. She listens, she takes her time, she offers thoughtful suggestions, and you can tell she genuinely cares about helping her patients rather than rushing through appointments. When I brought up my bladder issues, she suggested a consult with Dr. Dohr. Honestly, I expected to wait months because that had become normal for me at my previous office. Even after being labeled “high risk” elsewhere, I still struggled to get timely appointments. To my surprise, this office got me in within about a week. I recently had my appointment with Dr. Dohr, and for the first time in a very long time, I felt validated. She listened carefully, reviewed everything I’ve already tried, discussed options in detail, answered questions, and truly made me feel like more than just another patient. We covered everything from my history to possible surgical options, and I never once felt rushed or dismissed. She confirmed that the issues and concerns I’ve been feeling in my body are real, and that meant more to me than I can explain. For years, I felt like I was being dramatic or overreacting because I wasn’t being heard. This office completely changed that for me. For the first time in a long time, I feel hopeful and excited to eventually get back to enjoying life without constantly worrying about what I eat, drink, or do just to avoid worsening symptoms. I’m incredibly thankful I found this office. And a huge shoutout to my medical assistant, Kristen, as well. These appointments can be incredibly vulnerable and emotional when you already feel insecure and defeated because of ongoing health issues. Kristen — along with every staff member I’ve interacted with — has made me feel comfortable, supported, and reassured that I’m finally in the right place.
