Dr. Christopher Saunders Cosmetic Surgery

After years of consideration and research, I decided in 2023 to have breast augmentation and scheduled an appointment with Dr. Christopher Saunders after receiving several recommendations. I informed Dr. Saunders about the past keloids I developed from previous procedures on other parts of my body, to which he assured me it would be fine. Shortly after my procedure, once the internal sutures started to dissolve, I noticed that the incision sites were still dark red and lumpy, even after taking several precautions to avoid friction in the area, practicing gentle wound care, and wearing silicone sheets. I informed Dr. Saunders about these itchy, bothersome keloids during my follow-up appointments, only to be prescribed topical steroid creams and advised that it would take time. A year and a half after my surgery, with no improvement, I scheduled yet another follow-up appointment and had to advocate for myself to at least receive steroid injections to flatten the scars. He seemed annoyed that I was asking for injections and sent me home to continue with the basic topical steroid cream (triamcinolone). Having worked in dermatology for years, I know that applying triamcinolone to a thick keloid is like applying regular lotion—there is NO IMPROVEMENT. It is more suitable for minor skin issues such as rashes, eczema, or dermatitis. Working in healthcare, I understand that not every person's body will respond the same way. However, if I am going to pay for quality care, I expect quality service. I definitely would not recommend this physician to anyone who scars easily. You go to cosmetic surgeons to improve a part of yourself, not to cause additional stress. I would have much preferred if he had advised me during the consultation that he is not skilled in treating keloids and referred me elsewhere.

I had an amazing experience with Dr. Saunders and his staff. I had a tummy tuck and breast augmentation..They were with me every step of the way. What really stood out to me was how Dr. Saunders sat with me and held my hand in the OR until I was put to sleep. The nurses were great and very attentive. My overnight nurse, Amy, was so funny and extremely helpful and patient with me. I would highly recommend Dr. Saunders!! I felt very well taken care of and he also stays very on top of research for best outcomes.

I have always been pleased and really trust her expertise.The front-desk medical support staff are professional, friendly, and inviting. In my opinion, customer service should never be underestimated. It can make or break the reputation of a business or medical practice. The front desk sets the vibe for an entire establishment and the ladies here are top notch. This is a well established practice that I trust and highly recommend.
