Luxe Dermatology and Aesthetic Center - Liza Moore, MD, FAAD and Reem Tadros MD, FAAD

I have taken my parents to this practice for their various skin issues and they were met with great bedside manners from Dr Moore but her staff are SO frustrating to deal with. At this point, I am wondering if the clinic outsources the admin to some company outside of the country. In particular, I had a nightmare encounter with a woman named Kara who handled the scheduling. First, it took forever to get a hold of her and my calls would always end up going to voice mail. Finally, when I got through, she insisted that we switch to email so that I could hand over the insurance information. Then, she refused to make the appointment unless she had a referral and an "insurance certificate." I didn't know what that was and I asked her to clarify but she kept saying that she needed the "insurance certificate." Because she refused to make an appointment without the insurance certificate, I had to call the insurance company and the primary care physician if they knew what it was - and no one had any idea. Even the insurance company tried to get in touch with the clinic, but they also struggled to get a hold of anyone. At one point, she did reach out to say she needs a referral with an "authorization number and a number of visits, along with an expiration date" but again, she refused to answer what an insurance certificate was. I told her the referral doesn't have any of that and forwarded her the referral I got from my dad's PCP. It turns out, none of it was necessary and all she needed was an insurance policy number. Anyway, instead of keeping the interaction via email as SHE requested, she would also randomly call to respond to my emails. Absolutely bizarre and unprofessional behavior! I've never seen anything like it! I thought, surely, that would be that. But no. It got worse after my dad was prescribed 4 medications by Dr. Moore on Friday. Immediately, the pharmacy said they had an issue with the order and also said they had a difficult time reaching out to the clinic. I tried calling and emailing as well, and it’s been so frustrating to have to call at one hour intervals to try to talk to someone. They eventually transferred me to their agent on the Klara app but again, no one answers! At this point, I am DREADING having to take my dad back for his 1 month follow-up visit. It is such a frustrating experience having to deal with her staff! What is the point of Dr. Moore's excellent bedside manner if her staff are the stuff of nightmares?

I had a wonderful experience at Lux Dermatology with Dr. Liza Moore. The office is beautifully designed, clean, welcoming and truly luxurious. From the receptionist to the nurses, every staff encounter was kind, polite and attentive. I was seen immediately and the care I received was thorough. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a practice that combines a great atmosphere with excellent service!

I am giving you a 2. Here's the good first. The staff was so polite & professional. The office atmosphere is beautiful. The 1st thing that really pissed me of was my co pay was 50.00..I asked why I was charging 51.30. I was told they are passing along the service fee to the patient. I find that so rude and disrespectful. I've never been to a doctor's office where they charged me for the credit card fee. The doctor was nice, but honestly she didn't really have the best bedside manner. I asked her if she could remove a little stye that was on my cheek, and she said, only if I come in for some kind of facial appointment. She did use a freezing treatment on my finger and on my forehead. However, she wanted to come back for a follow-up with the P. A for another visit and more money. ps, the little wart thing that I had on my finger is still here. I was going to come back and have the little blood vessel removed from my lip, but I changed my mind. I hope this post helps people determine if they want to go there or not.

Dr. Moore was very knowledgeable and patient. My visit was not rushed. I went in for an annual skin screening. She was very thorough and answered all of my questions. She looked at all of my products I was currently using and helped me determine the best order to use them and our next steps. My next appointment has already been scheduled and I've recommended her to a friend and my brother.
