I’ve been a regular customer here for almost two years, and unfortunately, my experiences have been very inconsistent. I’ve had some genuinely wonderful massages, but I’ve also had experiences that were disappointing enough that I ultimately decided to take my business elsewhere. I’ve had a couple of facials that were just okay, and I’ve consistently felt pressured to purchase add-ons and packages. On two occasions, an add-on was strongly encouraged, I agreed to it, and only afterward was I told that it would cost extra. I’ve also been repeatedly pushed toward purchasing laser packages, which became frustrating over time. Sometimes a lady wants to relax and just enjoy the massage vs chatting and being sold on things we may not want that can even wait until after the session. The massage experiences have been a mix of great and not so great. One particular experience was especially concerning. I repeatedly told the massage therapist that the pressure was too deep and asked her to stop, but she continued and told me, essentially, that I “needed it.” I was sore to the touch for almost two weeks afterward. I contacted the spa and spoke with the manager who also does my facials, and she was understanding and offered me a different type of massage as a complimentary make-up service as they didn't want me to leave a truthful review. I appreciated that and was willing to continue giving the business another chance. I've had another masseuse that also used too deep of a pressure and when told she would apologize go light and then go back to it being too deep and I hadn't booked a deep tissue although it used to be my massage of choice. I later purchased a facial/massage package because I wanted to take advantage of their Mother’s Day special. When I went back again, I had actually forgotten that I still had the complimentary make-up massage. The staff encouraged me to schedule it and change the date/time later rather than leave it sitting on my account, so I did. Unfortunately, I had to cancel the appointment the same day due to a medical situation that they were aware of. I understand that same-day cancellations are not ideal, but when someone is potentially heading to the hospital, circumstances are beyond their control. I called, explained the situation, and was told that it was no problem. Several hours later, I received a text from the manager stating that they were cancelling my massage and that I would no longer be allowed to use it. What bothered me most was that I had already spoken with someone by phone, been told it was okay, and then received a completely different message from management afterward. I promptly responded to the manager’s text and was never given a response. At that point, it really came down to customer service. I was willing to overlook the inconsistent experiences because I appreciated that they had previously tried to make things right. Unfortunately, the way this situation was handled left a very bad impression. Being told one thing by phone and then having it reversed hours later, followed by being ignored when I responded, was extremely disappointing after being a regular customer for nearly two years. There are many other wonderful options in the area, so I ultimately decided to take my business elsewhere. I hope they take this feedback seriously because the quality of service can be great, but the customer service and consistency need significant improvement. I've noticed them kissing up to the big tippers as in a dentist who has 3 practices and come visit them.
