I was lucky enough to find this place through a referral. I’ve been waxing for about 18 years and I’m very consistent — even when traveling, I make sure to stay on my regular schedule. Over the years I’ve been waxed in many different cities and countries, but I must say I’ve never experienced the level of talent and skill that I did with Michael today. I’ll admit I was a little skeptical at first since throughout my life I had only been waxed by women. But now I feel completely spoiled after experiencing the expertise of a man waxing another man. Michael was extremely professional, and his technique made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. He even took a little extra time to clean up my eyebrows, which I really appreciated. I’m visiting San Diego from Florida, and it’s clear that almost everything here is more expensive. That’s why I was surprised to see that Palmer Skin isn’t charging nearly enough for the quality of service Michael provides. I actually pay much more back home, so I made sure to tell him that his work deserves to be better compensated. Needless to say, a tip well over 20% felt absolutely deserved. To anyone visiting Palmer Skin and booking with Michael — please appreciate the level of skill you’re receiving and show it with a generous tip. Technicians with Michael’s level of talent are rare.

As an LGBT-friendly business, it truly feels like a safe space where I can be myself and feel welcomed by my tribe. The environment is comfortable, inclusive, and they always go above and beyond. Welcoming place. Atmosphere was spa-like and serene. Service very friendly and highly skilled. Facial waxes usually cause me a little bit of pain, but this was painless and actually relaxing. Great value for the price as well. Highly recommend!
I got a wonder facial today by, Elias! Walking in everyone was so kind and very welcoming. The setting was super clean and all steps getting me prepared for the facial were very professional. Elias asked me questions on my chief concerns with my skin and gave me feed back on my skin routine, as well as tips on what I can do to make it better. By the end I felt knowledgeable on how to keep my skin looking and feeling better, and my skin was glowing walking out.
