I am disappointed in my visit to Rosehall Aesthetics in Bowie MD. Recently I had liposuction on my bra area and lower back, appx 10 months ago. I called the two companies that have experience with African American skin. One is located in Fallston MD (too far to me), the other was this company. I was told I could not see the doctor for a week. Not a problem. I received no less than 10 reminders that I had an appointment with Dr. Miles, noted I said. The reminders were telephone voicemails and text messages. I thought to myself, over kill but “ok” got it. I arrived to my appointment 5 minutes late because my gps kept going in circles. The building does not have signage you can see for interior space. Ultimately, the reception came out to greet me as I had called to ask where they were. To the appointment, I was seen by their aesthetician who advised me that I was not going to see the doctor but rather I was seeing her. I told her I made an appointment to see the doctor. She asked me where was my scar and what kind they were, I explained they were on my back. She then tells me her opinion that I won’t be getting laser remover as she recommended I go with microneedling and then some other kind of treatment. I was completely taken aback because she did not see my scars. I shared that I had been using over the counter topicals and they did not seem to be working. (Note) I would also say, my scars are not that complex or deep but rather noticeable in a bathing suit. After she saw my face she left the room and the Office Manager came and took a few pics, she explained the same thing but she at least did see the scars (punctures). Again, you won’t see seeing the doctor. Every single call and text I received says “your appointment is with Dr. Miles”, not once did they advise I would not see the doctor. The aesthetician was in my opinion not the friendliest and she had not seen my scars, she also met with me while performing /undergoing her own microneedling procedure she was doing on herself. She asked me to excuse her appearance and I told her I didn’t notice anything other than a shiny face. Trying to make light of my disappointment. I would not have waited over a week to see an ethestician as they are readily available anywhere you call. I am very sad too see this business plays games. If you do go, be sure to insist to see who you booked with. I was told Dr. Miles only works one day a week and that’s why I had to wait a week. I told my husband I would ensure the next place I call, I will ensure the switch game is not played again. I had to change my full business calendar to fit this appointment in my work schedule. Dr. Miles is not the only one who has a busy schedule. Waste of time. It is thought that Black owned company’s are not the most professional and this company proves the stereotypes.

I had an amazing experience at RoseHall! I was really nervous to get a facial since it was my first time, but both Nicki and Alycia were absolute sweethearts. They took the time to walk me through the entire process and made me feel completely at ease. I treated myself to a facial at RoseHall Medical Aesthetics today, and it was so worth it. I feel refreshed, and my skin looks great! My first time going to a place like this and I must say, I really enjoyed the treatments they gave me. No regrets…They are also nice people. You have to try RoseHall.
