Sapphire Advanced Aesthetics: Leslie Smith, D.O.

I went to Sapphire for lipo and bodytite on 9/11/2025. Immediately after returning home, I noted that my 5 incisions were huge compared to what I was told they would look like. I know that Dr. Smith realized this as well as she mentioned to the nurse I would need scar tape. At 10 days I sent in photos of my incisions and voiced my concerns they had not closed or healed at all. I was told I needed to do another round of antibiotics, which I did. I continued wound care and checking in via text and email as the weeks went on and my incisions did not heal. 10/23 I went back in due to one incision leaking and causing pain. I was examined and one incision was cauterized (which hurt). I was then put on another round of antibiotics, which ended up causing me extreme stomach distress and I had to go to the ER for testing due to all the antibiotics. Each time I asked about the incisions, I was given a different made-up excuse as to why I was not healing. At around 7 months I went into the office again to express my frustration with the incisions and poor results from the lipo. I opted to do a revision without the use of bodytite, which I went in for on 5/2. This went better and those incisions healed in a week with zero issue. While I was healing, I opted to go to another surgeon for a second opinion on my still open incisions from the 9/11 procedure. I was told these were thermal injuries due to improper use of the bodytite canula and the incisions would never heal without revision. I also developed a large dent in my stomach by my naval that I was told would now need fat grafting. I have been doing wound care and suffering with painful, open thermal injuries for almost a year now, and now I have to go get a third procedure at a new facility to fix the mistakes made at Sapphire by Dr. Smith. I reached out to Dr. Smith once again and she pretended to be confused, attempted to gaslight me into more procedures and services, and asked me to come in (again). After 2 (3 if you count morpheus) surgical procedures, countless emails and texts, 3 rounds of antibiotics, an ER visit, and now told I have thermal burns that need surgical intervention as well as fat grafting, I can strongly suggest everyone avoid this practice. If things go wrong, you will be lied to and gaslit repeatedly, with no resolution. There is zero accountability at this place. I requested a refund of just the bodytite and did not receive a reply, just told I needed to come in yet again.

This was my first time at Sapphire Advanced Aesthetics today and I couldn’t be happier! Dr Smith spent amble time with me explaining everything thoroughly and even gave me options for future procedures. After years of trying to accomplish a specific result, she did it easily and very cost effective. She won my trust instantly and I look forward to future appointments with Dr. Smith!
