My friend and I spent weeks researching before finally deciding to book with Skinology Medspa for a liquid BBL. We both had virtual consultations with Mimi, who at first was very helpful, informative, and responsive. Based on that experience, we felt comfortable enough to schedule our liquid BBL for April 1st. Leading up to the appointment, we remained in constant communication with Mimi, though we never actually spoke with Dr. Sarah, who would be performing the procedure. As time went on and we continued doing our own research, we naturally had more detailed questions. That’s when things started to shift. Responses became increasingly vague, and instead of answering questions via text, we began receiving phone calls. Personally, I prefer having important medical information in writing, so this raised some concerns for me. After consulting with a trusted friend who is a certified plastic surgeon, I was advised to ask more specific questions about the use of hyaluronic acid for this procedure, including the brand, number of syringes, and ratio of filler to saline. When I brought these questions forward, the communication became noticeably uncomfortable and less transparent. A few days before our scheduled appointment, Mimi also mentioned that she was in Los Angeles for work and would not be present for our procedure, after being our main point of contact for weeks. This added to the discomfort, as it felt like a sudden shift and, frankly, a bit like avoidance. A few days before our scheduled appointment, Mimi also attempted to move us to an earlier date. Although we had already arranged time off work, we were willing to try to accommodate. Unfortunately, my friend couldn’t adjust her schedule, so we kept our original date. Around this time, communication dropped off further, and Mimi suggested that Dr. Sarah would call me directly to answer my questions. I was hopeful this would provide clarity, but unfortunately, the call with Dr. Sarah left me with even more uncertainty. It was difficult to get clear answers, and I felt there was a strong push toward using hyaluronic acid rather than discussing other options they had previously mentioned, like Sculptra or Radiesse. The situation escalated the afternoon before our procedure when Dr. Sarah called to cancel, citing that she wasn’t feeling well due to pregnancy. She offered complimentary Botox and filler, which felt inappropriate given how much time, planning, and preparation we had already invested, including starting prescribed antibiotics. After expressing my frustration and requesting a refund, she agreed but then mentioned she might still be able to proceed if she could arrange additional help. After confirming multiple times that she was capable of safely performing the procedure, I was told she would move forward. However, just hours later, we received another call from Mimi informing us that Dr. Sarah was being admitted to the hospital and the procedure was canceled entirely. At that point, a refund was offered again, which honestly felt like the bare minimum given the circumstances. This all felt like avoidance due to all our questions and concerns. (Red flag) Overall, this experience was incredibly frustrating and concerning. Clear communication, transparency, and professionalism are critical when it comes to any medical or cosmetic procedure, and unfortunately, this experience lacked all three. I would strongly encourage others to do thorough research, ask detailed questions, and pay close attention to how those questions are handled. If you feel any hesitation or lack of clarity, it is best to trust your instincts and look elsewhere.

Recently visited for a Non surgical BBL. I deal with a lot of anxiety and was really nervous to begin with. BUT from the first consultation Mimi made me feel so comfortable and welcoming prior to my visit. Flew all the way from Texas and 10/10 would recommend. Team was very friendly, welcoming, and professional. They took amazing care of me. I deal with body dismorphia and this procedure was life changing for me. Couldn't thank Dr. Sarah and her team enough. I feel so beautiful. They also have reached out to me numerous time to check in to see how I am. 10/10 hands down would recommend! Also, healing has been easy! Thank y'all again.

I recently had a non-surgical BBL and I ABSOLUTELY love my results!! From start to finish my experience was wonderful. Even after the procedure Mimi checks in on me to see how I am feeling and if I have any questions or concerns. Mimi and Mary are wonderful women that truly care and love what they do.. They made me feel comfortable and delivered beyond my expectations. My new butt is natural and beautiful. Thanks to these two women I have my dream booty now!!!
