“Exceeded all expectations on my first visit. Appt was to talk about HRT for menopause. I saw the NP and she was so lovely. Asked a lot of questions, especially about what I want to do. Provided a lot of education and options”
KRISTI BISBEE · GOOGLE REVIEW
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Dr. Kavita Khanijow is truly exceptional—not only an outstanding uro-gynecologist, but also a remarkable human being. She treats her patients with knowledge, patience, compassion, and genuine care. She takes the time to listen, explains everything clearly, and makes you feel respected and safe at every step. Her staff is equally amazing: kind, professional, attentive, and always welcoming. From the moment you walk in, you feel supported and well cared for. I am deeply grateful for Dr. Khanijow and her team. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for the very best medical care with a truly human touch.
So happy I found this practice! From my first phone call to now being a few visits in, every staff member I’ve interacted with has been welcoming and helpful. Dr K has taught me so much! She really listens and is easy to talk to. I had to have testing that I was nervous about. Amanda was absolutely amazing at explaining every step and making me feel comfortable.
I have been coming for years. VERY pleased with how well they look out for me. The nurses call back right away - Amanda was super helpful at my last appt and Kelsey (PA) was very understanding and patient with my concerns. Thumbs up!!! Five star!!!! Everyone here is amazing!
I rarely leave reviews, but I feel it’s important to share my experience because of how emotionally difficult and disappointing this appointment became for me. I scheduled this visit because my hot flashes and symptoms had been getting significantly worse after I witnessed the recent plane crash near the area. Before coming in, I had already been speaking with my therapist, who supported me seeking medical help because the stress and trauma were clearly affecting me physically. I came into the appointment hopeful, calm, and genuinely trying to advocate for my health. At first, the conversation seemed normal. I explained that my hot flashes had worsened and that I had been trying to manage things on my own through therapy and other coping methods. Eventually, I shared that I had witnessed the accident and became emotional while talking about it. The nurse who initially spoke with me showed kindness and compassion, which I appreciated very much. However, once the doctor came in, the tone of the appointment gradually shifted in a way that made me feel deeply uncomfortable. While I was trying to explain how the traumatic event had impacted me emotionally and physically, I felt like my emotional response was being interpreted as a sign that I was unstable rather than as a normal reaction to witnessing something horrific. One moment that particularly stayed with me was when I was told I “needed medications to get stable” while I was actively crying and trying to process the trauma I had witnessed. I also felt confused and uncomfortable when the conversation became very personal and moved away from my original medical concerns. At different points, I was asked questions about the man who died in the crash, why I was so upset weeks later, whether I was “a very giving person,” and was compared to the doctor’s mother as someone “always looking for validation.” Those comments felt inappropriate and deeply invalidating in the moment. I understand that doctors encounter emotional patients and difficult conversations regularly, and I truly respect the challenges of working in healthcare. But when a patient comes in after experiencing trauma, compassion, sensitivity, and emotional awareness matter just as much as medical treatment. I left the appointment feeling shocked, embarrassed, and far more distressed than when I walked in. I am sharing this review not out of anger, but because I hope future patients experiencing trauma or grief are met with greater empathy, care, and professionalism.
