America and her assistant were SO kind and patient. I brought two teens with two very different skin types and they let me combine them to one appointment and she helped them separately in the same appointment. We already feel like we are on the right track for both kids. They also loved the bag of sample goodies that she gave them! She was generous and sweet. She didn’t make us feel crazy for some of the silly things we’ve tried like shampoo as a face mask. 🤣❤️

I had concerns about this practice because it is in Winter Park, and given the area, thought they would be more of an “elective” practice, and not focus on actual medically needed appointments, but I needed treatment, and this is one of the few providers that take my insurance. Well, they did not disappoint. Upon my arrival I was ignored by the front desk receptionist, except for a dirty look from the receptionist because the door slammed, which was an accident. When the receptionist finally decided to get out of her chair, and check the sign-in sheet, I had already sat down, and then she called me back up (I have 2 artificial hips, so getting around can be difficult) and asked for my cards. I told her I was waiting on my physical card, but I had a picture of it, if that was ok. She was hateful and told me no, I'd have to email it, WHICH WAS WHAT I WAS ASKING. From there she became very combative, and I advocated for myself, while trying to comply with her directions, despite being treated like a dog. Additionally, I had an appointment for 915am, and another patient, who had an appointment at 930am was taken back before, me as well as other patients that came in after me, whose appointments were scheduled later. I wouldn’t be surprised if that was due to the receptionist. After making me get up and down several times for my cards, and paperwork, after I advised that I had artificial hips and I was having difficulty, another woman, who could barely speak English came out, and told me they would not be treating me, and didn't give me a reason why. After the way I was treated by the receptionist, I was already contemplating leaving because this was not the way to start new treatment with a new doctor. So, instead of arguing, I just left. They clearly cater to the elective patients in Winter Park, and don’t really care about the medically needy patients, or the hypocritic oath that the providers take when they get their license. Judging by the prior review, I’m not the only one to have this kind of experience, and I’m sure the positive reviews are the staff trying to CYA. Again, This practice is in an upscale part of town, and clearly caters to its elective procedure patients, and treats its actual medical patients like garbage. Stay away if you actually NEED MEDICAL CARE!

Dr. Michael McGriff is extremely knowledgeable and brings such a sense of peace just by the way he speaks and treats his patients with respect. I decided to try Blue Ocean after our previous dermatology clinic prescribed my baby 2.6 ml of Hemangeol (a $700 medication) twice a day. When I later did my own research in mom groups, everyone was talking about using drops and how effective they were. That’s when I chose to see Dr. McGriff. I didn’t even mention what the other doctor had prescribed. The dosage he recommended was 4 drops. Can you see the difference between 2.6 ml and 4 drops? Under his care, my daughter’s hemangiomas improved dramatically and are now basically gone. With the other practice, which we stayed with for six months, they only continued to get worse. I am forever grateful for Dr. McGriff’s knowledge, care, and exceptional patient service. I drive 40 minutes to see him, but there is no one else I trust. He truly is the best!

I love this practice. I have been a long time patient and feel very well cared for. They are caring, skilled, and in tune with the patients concerns. If you give them a try you will not be disappointed.i have referred this practice to my friends abs they are very happy with the professional and treatment.
