Dr. Szczerba is truly an amazing surgeon and an incredible person. He performed my breast reconstruction, and I could not have asked for a better doctor. His skill, compassion, and dedication to his patients are exceptional. He has excellent bedside manners, takes the time to listen, and makes you feel comfortable, cared for, and confident throughout the entire process. His staff is just as wonderful—friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. You can tell that Dr. Szczerba and his team genuinely care about their patients. Dr. Szczerba has a heart of gold, and I am so grateful to have been in his care. I would highly recommend him to anyone considering plastic surgery. Just find another plastic surgeon! I am extremely disappointed with my experience and the outcome of my breast surgery with Dr. Stefan Szczerba. After my first surgery, one of my breasts shifted so far to the side that it was practically under my armpit. The result was clearly not what I expected, and a revision surgery became necessary. I agreed to the revision because I trusted that the problem would be corrected. Unfortunately, after the second surgery, I was still very unhappy with the result. My breasts looked too high, unnatural, misshapen, and almost as if they were upside down. The shape was completely different from what I had hoped for. I raised these concerns directly with Dr. Szczerba and told him that I did not like how high my breasts were sitting. Both he and his assistant reassured me that they would drop, settle into place, and eventually look beautiful. I was also instructed to wear a very uncomfortable compression band for an extended period of time to help push the breasts downward. I followed those instructions because I was assured that if I kept wearing it, my breasts would drop. I wore it for a long time despite how uncomfortable it was, but it did not meaningfully improve the result. What frustrates me the most is that I did speak up. I repeatedly said that something did not look right. I followed the postoperative instructions, wore the band, waited, and trusted the reassurance I was given. Despite all of that, I am still left with a result that I find deeply upsetting. I went through two surgeries, two recoveries, and a great deal of physical discomfort and emotional stress, only to remain unhappy with the final appearance. Based on my personal experience, I regret choosing this surgeon and would not recommend him for breast surgery. I strongly encourage anyone considering surgery to get multiple opinions, ask very detailed questions about possible complications and revisions, and make sure you feel fully comfortable with the surgeon’s response if you express concerns during recovery.
