Horizons OBGYN & Aesthetics

A friend referred me to this practice, specifically NP and midwife Katie Herrera, and I am incredibly grateful for that recommendation. From the very beginning, I was able to get an appointment quickly, and Katie and the entire team were kind, professional, and truly took the time to listen. After decades of struggling with cycle-related issues, this was the first time I felt genuinely heard rather than dismissed. What began as a routine appointment led to additional testing and ultimately a biopsy with Dr. Manny Herrera, who was equally compassionate, thorough, and reassuring. Every treatment option was clearly explained, and when it became necessary to consult a robotic surgeon, the referral process was handled with exceptional attention and care. Throughout the entire experience, I felt supported, informed, and respected. I highly recommend this practice and am deeply grateful for the outstanding care I have received, especially as a new patient.

I originally chose Horizons OBGYN because they had really good reviews, but unfortunately, my experience was nothing like what I expected. I found out I was pregnant and started experiencing bleeding during my first trimester. After my first ultrasound, the doctor told me he would come speak to me afterward, but he never did. I went back for a second ultrasound and once again never saw or spoke to a doctor. When I brought up my concerns about the ongoing bleeding, I felt brushed off. I was told there was no need to see a doctor until later in my pregnancy and that if I wanted to speak with one, I could schedule another appointment and come back. I found that frustrating considering I was already there and still actively bleeding. I also had questions about referrals and concerns regarding my medical history. The receptionist told me she would speak with the doctor and call me back, but I never heard back. Needless to say, I never returned. I understand that bleeding during pregnancy doesn’t always mean something is wrong, but I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect some communication and reassurance from your OB, especially when you’re actively bleeding. Overall, I just felt like my concerns weren’t taken seriously.

Dr. Herrera is amazing, he did my c-section 12 years ago and his been my doctor since, the front desk ladies are great, extremely friendly and very knowledgeable. Love the staff all around. Katie is amazing also, she has done my Botox, kybella, and also my annual checkup. She is so sweet and goes through everything with you. I’ve even gotten a facial here….Honestly, overall love them!

I could not recommend an OB or midwife more. Both Katie and Manuel Herrera are incredible. I have been with them every step of the way of my pregnancy and they have been so supportive and caring even after delivery. 10000/5 stars!!! From the moment you walk into the office you’re greeted with warmth and kindness. Every single staff member radiates happiness and you can tell they love where they work, because it pours out into everything they do. This practice and team are truly one of a kind!❤️
