Dr. Wu is awesome! Appreciate his patience and expert guidance through a few sensitive dermatological issues. I never feel rushed. Always leave w/questions answered & expectations addressed. From check in to check out, professionalism rules!
ZERO STARS. Awful doesn’t begin to describe this practice. I called prior to setting up an appointment for a child and asked if they treated children and was told yes. We were scheduled to see Dr. Sean Wu. On the day of the appointment, we were seen by the doctor for maybe 5 minutes in which he stated that he did NOT treat children. Sent on our merry way and billed for the visit. I contested the charge and was bounced between their office billing department and compliance. This went on for weeks. They told me that I was billed “the bare minimum” and that the charge was for the “diagnosis” ---what diagnosis?? Last I checked the meaning of diagnosis is identifying a disease, illness, or problem or a conclusion made about what the specific condition is. What I got was a “I don’t treat kids, and I can’t tell you what that is” and a bill for wasting my time. I will not be returning to this practice and strongly advise anyone NOT to give them your business.
Worst experience ever. The doctor was not sympathetic nor empathetic to my needs. Made sure they received they copay. I came to the dermatologist because I had an unknown bite to my chin that flared up and had me admitted in hospital. I had to do a follow up to have the area cut and drained the dermatologist refused to even look into it. She suggested that I go to a dentist to find out if I had an infection in my mouth, which I explained I did not have an affection in my mouth. There was an unknown bite to my cheek. Doctor referred me to a dentist in the same building. The office staff at the dentist office was wonderful and treated me like a real person. The dentist did a full xray and let me know that there were no active infections in my mouth. I was referred back to the dermatologist. New the dentist has a new patient. The dermatologist front desk explained that I could not be seen the same day and that I would have to make another appointment for another day, I explained that I had already taken several days off and been hospitalized for this infection. I also explained that I have an important surgery coming up for my spine. I had to reschedule my daughter’s appointment, who had just came out the hospital to go to another dermatologist who was able to opened up my face and did everything I needed. I would not refer anyone to this place nor will I ever go back. I really think they should be a little empathetic and sympathetic to people‘s needs I have commercial insurance so I don’t understand why I was treated like just another number or not even like a human being. My family has been through so much and the dermatologist made it worse. I had to reschedule my daughter’s hematologist appointment. Thank goodness we made her pediatric appointment.
By far the worst customer service I have ever experienced is with this office. My son has a lump on his leg just above his knee. My wife scheduled an appointment with this location to have a doctor look at this bump and remove it. When making the appointment my wife specifically asked if they see kids and the response was yes. The day of the appointment my son was seen by doctor Dr. Wu. Dr. Wu examined my son’s bump and said he didn’t know what it is and suggested we go see a surgeon to have it removed and he stated that he doesn’t treat children. We probably spent no more than 5 mins with this doctor and were billed for like $200. For what? To tell us you didn’t know what it was and to say that you don’t treat children at this office. If you don’t treat children then why did you schedule us for an appointment. They obviously knew he was only 8 years old when we provided his birth date . When we received the bill we contested this by calling the office. We were put through to the billing department and explained why we were contesting it. We were told an office manager would call us back. Never happened after being told multiple times that she would call us. I don’t know who this office manager is but she is just horrible at following up with patients. So unprofessional to not follow up and being told numerous times that she would call and speak to us. We were eventually told to call compliance to file a complaint. We were also told multiple times that we would receive a follow up call with a resolution and that never happened. This whole process of dealing with these people has been so frustrating. I’m not in any way saying that Dr. Wu isn’t a good doctor and doesn’t do good work but if you don’t treat children then why would you allow us to book an appointment then tell us that you don’t see children then bill us for not doing anything at all. If you use this office location for your next visit to a dermatologist I hope you don’t run into an issue like we did. If you do don’t expect any customer satisfaction from these people at all. You’ll just get the run around with people telling you that someone will follow up and it won’t happen. Thanks for billing me over $200 to tell me you don’t treat children. This office is the worst. Stay away.
