My visit in early 2026 was great — on time, fast, and the staff was pleasant. Unfortunately my experience with billing was a different story. My skin cancer screening was billed with medical diagnosis codes (D18.01, L81.4, Z71.89) rather than the preventive screening code my insurance covers at 100% (Z12.83), which caused the claim to hit my deductible instead. When I tried to get it corrected, I found there's no way to reach the office directly — billing is handled entirely by an outsourced company. The rep I spoke with was short with me, and their policy is that they do not change diagnosis codes after the fact. I ended up just paying the bill. My advice: before your visit, call your insurance and ask exactly which diagnosis codes are covered under your preventive benefits, and confirm with the office upfront that they'll bill it that way. Once you're out the door, your options are very limited. I wish I had heeded another reviewer's warning before I went. Unfortunately I won’t be returning, at least not for a skin cancer screening that should be covered by insurance. Hopefully this helps someone else avoid the same frustration.

Two complaints: 1. Bait and switch: they advertise appointments with dermatologists, but then schedule you with medical technicians. While I am sure that the technicians are perfectly capable of performing routine screenings, this practice feels dishonest. 2. Opaque billing: I was told at the time of the appointment that the visit was covered by insurance, and received a bill a month later. The bill wasn't large, but I wasn't I alerted to the fact that I should expect it at the time that I was seen, nor was I able to conveniently call anybody for an explanation of the charges. They employ a call center to handle billing inquiries -- the 215 number on market street is a mirage that goes first to AI and then to the call center.

I had a great experience with Dr. Farber! She’s very knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. I’ve felt rushed at other dermatology offices but not here. Dr Farber took the time to answer all of my questions. The staff is also great and the office very efficient.

I wouldn't recommend Schweiger Dermatology based on my experience with trying to resolve a billing error. Schweiger seemed to have lost a payment I made in March 2025. The payment never showed up in my account and I kept getting bills for it. Over several months, I provided proof of payment—including HSA account statements and the ACH receipt—six separate times. I sent this documentation to both the billing department and the office reception. They confirmed receipt, yet when I called for an update, representatives claimed they had no documentation on file. I eventually forwarded everything to their Escalations team, but they never responded. The only "resolution" attempt I received was a vague voicemail from a Florida clinic location I have never even visited.
